FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR ACTIVE & RETIRED POLICE K9s
THE BUDDY FOUNDATION
Paws 4 Blue K-9 created the Buddy Foundation in memory of K9 Buddy, who proudly served alongside his handler with the Palmer Police Department in Massachusetts.
Buddy's service, courage and lasting impact inspired our mission to help other police K9 teams in need.
Through the Buddy Foundation, Paws 4 Blue K-9 provides financial assistance to eligible active and retired law enforcement K9s across the United States when funding is available.
WHO MAY QUALIFY FOR ASSISTANCE?
The Buddy Foundation considers applications for:
• Active police K9 teams serving with eligible law enforcement agencies that do not have an allocated budget for their K9 program.
• Retired police K9s that previously served with a law enforcement agency.
A completed application is required and must be reviewed before financial assistance can be approved.
Paws 4 Blue K-9 does not currently provide funding to establish or start a new K9 program.
CURRENT GRANT PRIORITY
Our ability to provide grants depends on the funds available through the Buddy Foundation.
Submitting an application does not guarantee that financial assistance will be awarded.
HOW TO APPLY FOR POLICE K9 ASSISTANCE
Handlers and eligible applicants seeking assistance should complete the Paws 4 Blue K-9 Application for Assistance.
Each application is carefully reviewed to determine eligibility, the nature and urgency of the request, and the availability of Buddy Foundation funds.
